Mechanical engineer by profession, fashion enthusiast by passion — Sumu believes great spaces deserve great planters. What started as a simple love for well-designed things turned into Neptune Planters, a place where form meets function with zero compromise. He now spends his days obsessing over moulds, materials, and creating planters that quietly steal the spotlight in every space.

Our Story
Pre-2020
The Glam Life
My job was basically networking with fashion week designers and curating fancy exhibitions. Life was glamorous, fun, and exactly where I thought I was headed.
2020
The Plot Twist
COVID hit, canceling my Aussie adventure. My father gave me a choice: pursue fashion later or join the family business. I chose to invest my tuition savings into our legacy instead.
2020 - 2021
Boots on the Ground
I went from runway shows to roto-molding machines. I focused on learning the technical skill of how our water tanks are made - a skill other factory owners ignored.
2022
Trial & Error
We tried a few brand extensions. Spoiler alert: they failed. But we didn't stop. We knew the next big idea was lurking somewhere in the factory dust.
2023
The Eureka Moment
Sitting in the yard, I spotted an old planter my dad made 8 years ago. It was standing rock-solid. It clicked: durable design is the ultimate fashion statement.
2024
Neptune is Born
After a 1.5-year design sprint, we launched. Sustainable planters made from 100% recyclable plastic. They are so durable, they might just outlive your house plants.
